The fishermen in Pakistan are a high-risk community. There are decades of neglect, oppression, poverty and discrimination that have been levied on this community by people in power. Industrialization has uprooted their trade, they are shunned by the "people of the land" and their histories are entirely erased.
My final work was a culmination of all the visual documentation I had done during my research. It visualized a massive displacement along the coast of the Indian Ocean. The current displacement isn't a widespread slave trade but a form of post-colonial imperialism. It is an expression of the disappearing identities of the local fisherfolk, state oppression, and capital extremism.
