Before the ‘peace murals’ took over Karachi, the city's walls were filled with political imagery. Even today that hasn't changed, perhaps just toned down a bit. 

How do you look at this bold political expression as art? It's not that tricky visually as it usually employs beautiful Urdu calligraphy.

The text on the other hand is a lot more complicated. One way or another they are attacking you - either it is through political messages or baba-giri. 

This project is an exploration of the walls of Karachi, its posters and text. Also, the constant subliminal aggressive messages promote and sustain suffocating heat in the heads and hearts of Karachiites.
