The Greeks coined the term ‘mouseion’ when they first built a temple to "the Muses," that became the root word for 'museum'. The museum as a secular place is a modern and colonial concept. The Lahore Museum boasts a large collection of religious objects that are associated with Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, Jainism, and Sikhism. These objects are not merely of artistic or historical value, but are sacred objects of worship.

Luluwa’s intervention is an attempt to introduce worship into the Hindu Gallery by creating small sacred gestures. Her site-specific installation invites viewers to reflect upon the points of connection that exist across faiths, through objects and sounds of worship, and at its foundation - the journey towards the Divine.
